2016 has been a great year for the Ulverstone Judo Club, but 2017 will prove to be a bigger year for the club as it hosts the Judo competition for the Masters Games!
What is the Masters Games? It is a week of sporting competition for people over the age of 30 to have a go at different sports. The Masters Games organisers are expecting over 6,000 participants will compete in over 40 different sports. Judo demonstration for Today ShowWednesday the 5th of April the Today Show did a story on the upcoming Masters Games and asked the club to put on a display of Judo. It was broadcasted to TV at 7:20am that morning.
The demonstration was held at Pier 1 in Ulverstone. The Master Games will be held on the North West Coast 21-28 October 2017. |
